Using this pump for a solar pool heater. Powered by Renogy 30W solar panel. I tried a 10w panel and it worked, but slowly. The 30W panel is ideal. My setup: 200 feet of 1/2 inch irrigation hose in a 4 by 4 foot box. Use 1/2 inch PVC pipe from the pool to the garden hose. The garden hose goes to the pump and then to the heater. From the heater I have a garden hose back to the pool and then back to the PVC pool. I didn't use the pool pump as I only run it at night. I have valves to slow the flow if needed. I also have an inlet valve to fill the rig. Works perfectly! Let's see how long the pump lasts in this configuration.
