Great value for money for cars and car electronics

This SDR works very well for me. I've used it with various software packages including AirSpy gqrx. I also made some designs with Gnuradio. I've used SDR on my desktop and Raspberry Pi 3 with very good results. I originally bought this to make a dedicated ADS-B receiver, but it turned out to be too useful to be used for just one purpose. I used it to study the design of software radios and digital filters. I also use it as a universal radio. I added the HamItUp converter which also gave great results. With it I can receive AM, HF, FM, air traffic, weather and various amateur radio bands that interest me. If I want to add features, I just create a new theme in Gnuradio or modify what I already have. I live in an area with several powerful radio stations within about a mile. Overload can be a problem. I know others have had problems with this. It is important to control profits. Sometimes when the gain is too high I can't hear anything and the SDR doesn't seem to work. This is not an SDR defect. The solution is to use gain that maximizes signal quality. The optimal gain can be quite low. Sometimes I turn the gain down to three or four dB with good results. I also use a sample rate of 2.4 MS/s for narrowband applications. This results in spurious signals being further apart and easier to filter out in the software. Filters can be added between the antenna and the SDR, but this adds to the cost and I didn't find it necessary.
