Review on 🎱 Cuetec Bowtie 3-in-1 Billiard Cue Tip Tool for Pool Cue Accessories by Eric Surabhi

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Ok not great - not sure about long term EDIT - unusable now.

I like it but I don't like it like many other posters. We have a tavern and I use it to sculpt all the poles. You talk about 9 sticks that I only shape and scrape when first putting on a bait or when I forget my personal cue and have to use a home cue. I use the simple blue Elk tips which I find quite complex. I also use this on my own cue which has a softer tip. How does it work? It works well. The Shaper will have a new tip with the right shape in a minute or two. The lockpick and mortar work as they should. The shape is great. Problem? The sand is already worn and/or badly damaged and I haven't had the thing in a year. It now cuts less aggressively than when it was new. I don't know what glassy sand cemented into a mold is, but I'm surprised that a few dozen to a hundred uses caused any measurable deterioration. I don't know if it's going to be a tool that lasts a few years and there has to be something made out of metal or something that will wear down microns when used on the tip of a cue rather than fractions of a millimeter like this thing . EDIT - Okay, now I'm a few months late and this thing no longer works to sculpt or scrape because the sand has flattened out. Oh good. The thing is, if you use it for yourself and sculpt a spike a year, it might be good for you. If you use it regularly, it's an outlier, which is a shame given its appeal.
