First of all thanks to Don who works at ispring for his help. All credit for the support goes to him. TL; DR - Great block, Don at iSpring was very good, if given the opportunity to do a remake I might choose a bigger block (most likely will if I ever replace this one). I bought this unit in 2019 but just installed it he moved to his current home. God oh god it was a nightmare getting in. I can work with my hands and love challenging tasks. I won't go into details, but basically I had to change the installation location due to the location of the incoming water pipe and the space around it. Note* I didn't install a bypass, I installed an inline branch. Therefore, to change the filters, I have to turn off the water in the house. I'm fine, but others may not be. After installation, the water chambers were well filled. The water started to flow. After about 2 minutes, the device started leaking at the input/output jack. It was my fault, not enough teflon. But the plugs/plugs in between also started to drip. I called support and spoke to Don who was very informative and helpful. He suggested a different Teflon (Blue Monster is a great material, but more on that later). He was also shocked by the leak between the filters and said he would send a replacement head unit. The unit arrived and unfortunately it was a newer model with the filters closer together so I had to trim the tube a bit to fit. Teflon Blue Monster, YMMV, but I wound 6 turns on it and plugged in, then pulled out to put 4 more turns on. 6 wraps formed this nice plastic shell/coating on the connector so I knew there was going to be a great seal this time (the original Teflon I used was like 4 wraps of cheap Lowes stuff and it fell apart when it came out). New installation in place, turn the water back on. No leaks at the inlet/outlet connection. However, water began to form on the male/male connector between the filter. I took photos and sent them to Don. I decided to compensate in the form of 1 set of new filters because I didn't want to install another head unit. If/when the leak progresses I'll see if I can wrap the terminal blocks. with the blue monster. The water tastes great, I like that there is no waste and there is good clean water throughout the house. It's so nice to know that even my toilets are filled with refined, filtered gold. Hope this will be helpful. If you don't remove anything else, you know my case is one of a kind. I don't think that happens often. But iSpring will take very good care of you.
