SHORT VERSION: Prophecy HDMI input did not work for me with vMix or Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder (OBS compatible). LONG VERSION: I use vMix as my main live streaming software. I bought the Prophecy hoping to use it as an HDMI input for both my Windows 10 laptop and desktop PC. Unfortunately none of them worked. It was transmitting a video signal when I connected the camcorder, but the resolution was set to 1920x540 and there was no option to change the resolution. (If you're into video production, you already know that this is an odd resolution and pretty much useless.) I've tried and used the device with two different camcorders (Canon Vixia HF G20 and JVC GY-HM170). in Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder but got the same result. I contacted Gofanco support who suggested trying the device in OBS. The video input still showed up as 1920x540, but I was at least able to adjust the input size to make the image usable. So if you are a regular user of OBS, this device will surely come in handy. I wanted to like the device because it's lightweight, portable, and relatively inexpensive. I also thank Gofanco customer service for trying to help me troubleshoot the device very quickly. However, in the end I returned the device as my software is vMix and not compatible with my needs.
