This worked for me: Body Repair Tools

I was given this to polish the clear coat on a guitar. I got myself a cheap polisher and started polishing. It took maybe 10 minutes from start to finish. Apply something, polish everything, wipe well. Repeat with a medium grit and then a final polish. It came out nice and shiny. This is new to me, I don't know if cheaper formulations are as effective but I've seen videos of pros using this stuff so I figured it couldn't be too terrible. It is not. It's not super cheap, but it works.
