Installation was easy. Make sure you have at least 7" vertical space to attach as they will not "lie down" horizontally. My table was a surface mounted on a 1" subfloor where I had to add some 2x4s (don't worry - they had polyester patches) so the brackets could be attached properly.This is a great system for turning an ordinary coffee table into a comfortable raised surface for dining or even working.I ended up adding weight to the bottom half when I realized there wasn't enough width/weight for the raised top on my particular desk.The top weighs 30 pounds and find a way to lock it in place when you move the table.The hardest part was the installation of the springs, which is almost as frustrating as installing drum brakes without picks (tip: heavy picks make the job easier).
