Works well but be careful of placement.

Yes, they should be more elastic or flexible, but they never are. If you bring one side of the clip near anything, you'll break the other side when trying to snap the light. Both sides of the clip have very little allowable movement. So if one side can't move at all to turn on the light, the other side has to open twice as wide. What is pathetic. But he will break. Once we figured that out, we made sure to install them further away from our countertop and they didn't break again. These screwsโ€ฆ

Good clamps but VERY small screws make assembly difficult without the jeweler's screwdriver

First the benefits of this product.* Great clips, as strong and good quality as any other rope lantern clip. No problem. * Good price! You pay a lot more at local big department stores to get this many fairy light clips. Now for the cons. or should I say just a minus. * Screw size and quality is a bit cheap. The head is so small that you need a special jewelry screwdriver to install them. It is very difficult to find any type of cross socket to attach the clamps with a drill etc. * The screwsโ€ฆ

Clamps are easily destroyed and break

Clamps were used to attach an LED light on a string to the row of letters that make up the word 'WORLD'. Each letter is 4 feet tall. About 50-70 clips attach the lights to each letter. Two problems: First, the clips are brittle and break easily when the garland is deployed. I use 1/2" rope lights and when you insert the rope into the clamps the pins of the clamp release like they should but many of them break as a result. My experience has been a 20% - 30% gap. Second, they deteriorated theโ€ฆ
