I tested this caliper with my 321 blocks and feelers. If both the caliper and these elements are not wrong to the same extent, then I got the expected results. Compared to the gauges, the caliper was accurate to +- 0.0005 inches, which appears to be an increment when using inches. The millimeter spacing is 0.01, which is 0.0004 inches. Again, this caliper proved accurate from 0.001" to 3.0" in my testing, with more than adequate accuracy for my purposes. The display is not backlit, but is easy to read even in low light. Although it turns off automatically, it stays on for a sufficient amount of time, possibly too long (5 minutes). If this time is not enough, it remembers your measurements when the display is off. I only have one negative review for this caliper. The physical markings on the device are almost unusable. Haven't had to use them yet but as the case is slightly curved there isn't a good way to use this caliper without batteries.
