Mine worked for 4 months but then several LED lines went out making you think you have readings but they are inaccurate. For example, what should read as 3/4 inch is 7/4 inch because the bottom two lines of the number 3 are not displayed. The manufacturer's website was down for maintenance in the last 3 months. I had four other digital calipers and they all drew the same amount of current as when on. To ensure the caliper would work when I needed it, I removed the battery before putting it back in the box. Tiny screws hold the Kynup battery cover in place. Frequent removal causes problems. The ad said it would turn off automatically. I bought one and found that it switches 21 microamps on and off.
