I wore these shirts every day on the Camino de Santiago. They wick moisture/sweat away from the skin but the best part is that when it's windy it not only cools your torso but also your arms, which has a much stronger cooling effect than a short sleeve shirt while still providing sun protection without sunscreen lotion. (Exposed skin still needs sunscreen) They hold up to daily hand washing and aggressive hand push-ups. They retain moisture, so drying in direct sunlight can take a long time due to moisture retention. We wrapped the shirts in our travel towels and wrung them out in the towel, which greatly reduced the residual moisture and greatly reduced the drying time.
