The Kimo Orbital Polisher 7” orbital polisher is a great addition to the Kimo lineup. Even though Kimo also offers the 4” orbital polisher, this polisher not only offers the convenience of a greater surface area, but also faster speeds than its 4” counterpart. This 7” orbital polisher offers six speeds (750, 1200, 2000, 2600, 3500, 3900 rpm) maxing out at 3900 rpm whereas the 4” model maxes out at 3000 rpm. This orbital polisher also differs in its form factor, having more of an hourglass shape makes grip easier for its size - it measures about 10 inches in height when the battery is attached. The handle offers greater flexibility when it comes to having a grip on the polisher and allows you to better balance the weight of the polisher - with the battery attached, the unit weighs just over 4lbs (1870g) where the battery makes up just under a pound of the weight (0.8lbs). So for its weight the handle helps balance it out especially when working on a surface perpendicular to the ground.What attracted me most towards this model is the battery it uses. This random orbital polisher and buffer uses the same battery Kimo uses throughout its various drills (Lithium 20V Max) making switching out batteries easy, convenient, and simple. Kimo batteries in my experience have held up well in terms of charge and the one received with this polisher was no exception. If you happen to receive a machine where the battery does not perform as expected or holds no charge at all, you may contact Kimo customer support and they’ll make sure you have a fully functional battery. I did so when I bought a Kimo impact wrench and it’s because of the quality of their products and useful customer service that I keep coming back.I definitely recommend this orbital polisher.
