I bought it for my son for Christmas and he is very happy with the lock. He went purple and was able to install it on his bike in less than a minute. It has a collar with two Phillips screws and spacers that attach to the bike frame under the seat. The pads can be removed to ensure a proper fit. The lock itself has a clip that is then inserted into the collar to hold the lock while riding, which is pretty nifty. The lock itself is solid and the cable is quite thick so not that easy to cut. Setting the password was also easy. As I said, my son loves it and will buy again.
