Review on Durable 24-Inch One Touch DEWALT DWST24082 Toolbox by Matt Ellis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good plastic tool box

Good plastic tool box. One-touch locking is quick and convenient. It is more durable than most plastic tool boxes and is easy to transport. The specified dimensions of this drawer are external dimensions and the shape of the drawer reduces the usable area. For me, this box is one star less than the Stanley 023001W 23" Structural Foam Tool Chest. The Dewalt is taller than the Stanley, but the Stanley is wider. The Stanley feels solid with a tight waterproof seal, while the Dewalt isn't as durable and the seal isn't as tight. The Stanley has two latches and requires little force to engage or disengage the latch. In comparison, Dewalt seems to be a lightweight. My circular saw fits Stanley but not Dewalt. Both boxes have trays that don't extend beyond the length of the box. The Stanley tray holds more and has a more ribbed feel. If I were carrying tools in the back of an open pickup truck, I'd pick a Stanley. It is less likely to open and less likely to leak. If I was going to be carrying it in and out of a box and lugging it around all day, I would use Dewalt. I have both boxes. They are the same price in the box store. I have some Dewalt mechanical tools in the garage. I have a cordless circular saw at Stanley.
