This review will be short and sweet. I guess there isn't much more to say about this lens unit now, but I must add my 2 cents to round out the five star rating. For starters, this lens is more than half the price of a Nikon lens of the same focal length and maximum aperture, but offers about the same performance. The Tamron lens produces absolutely stunning, sharp images; build quality is excellent and doesn't feel cheap; and the focus and zoom flex is velvety. It's everything I want in a good lens and of course everything you should do. Of course there is more to this device than what has been said, but I don't think it is necessary for me to rehash all the technical aspects, at least no more than saying that everything works as described.
