This product almost killed my baby box turtle, it has no UV at all but is a fantastic thermal light. I rescued a tiny box turtle from idiots and brought it home, went to the Amazon to find items for its habitat where I found them that I bought and used. A few months later my little turtle was not growing and kept getting sick after many vet visits where they would ask about their lights but never told me there was a way to test the performance of the UV lights. I ordered the UV light. When they arrived I immediately checked the light on my turtles, there was not the slightest reaction. My turtle is recovering now that I have real UV lamps. I would advise anyone who has a pet that requires UV light to have their light checked, especially if there are any medical issues. My kid almost died so someone could make a quick buck selling a fake lantern. I'm sure it happens to others too.
