Gigabit? NO! If it did, the driver was installed and only a 100Mbps Fast Ethernet connection could be established. I updated the driver directly from the Realtek site, the result is the same. I thought it might be my network cable. Grabbed my laptop, plugged in the same cable and got a 1Gbps connection. Maybe it's the map, just a way to confirm. Went to Fry and bought a TP-LINK TG-3468, installed it and got a 1Gbps connection. I should have just gone with TP-LINK instead of trying to save a buck or two by going with this piece of junk. Now it has cost me twice what I would have paid originally if I had bought the TG-3468. TP-LINK is also offered here at the same price for the curious. My recommendation, stay away from this if you're expecting to get a gigabit connection.
