Tried in the car. It doesn't work well and putting it in a cup holder will cover the suction surface. A better design would be to use that battery space to make this thing portable and move the air intake up. The car smelled of ozone, but it was still dusty. I also tried it in the bedroom in front of the computer. The light changed color several times indicating the room was dusty, but then again I don't think this is effective in such a large room. Returned.
