I am a 64 year old female and weigh 115 pounds. 5 feet 4 inches tall, in excellent health except for the legs. Up until last year I wore size 8 shoes for years. I was diagnosed with Morton's neuroma in both feet and now I need to buy wide shoes with roomy toes. I had high hopes for this pair of shoes and other than the stitching required to attach the strap in the toe box these shoes are really good. There is enough room in the sock for my bare toes to wiggle. But I'm sending the shoes back because the overlay material and stitching are designed that way. After 5 minutes he was rubbing a red spot on my foot that would have turned into a blister if I hadn't removed my shoes for another 5 minutes. It can be good shoes with socks. I found the ankle strap to be the perfect size and comfortable.
