Fits my 2005 Volvo S40 perfectly. After ten years of use, my previous one cracked and there was a visible hole under the shifter. Instructions found on Youtube (search "Replace Volvo S40 Geartronic Sensor"). It wasn't difficult to replace. The hardest part was figuring out how to remove the shift knob. The video was misleading. Almost broke my wrist. You need to make sure the diagonal line on the barrel of the pen lines up with the notches on the inside of this twist cap. I hope that makes sense.
