The material is excellent, not cheap at all. The handle is even thicker to prevent tearing. I play with my daughter and actually hit older people with her if they are smart and endure abuse. A 45lb kid can jump on it and don't have to worry about it breaking or exploding due to the force. The little pump that comes with the kit seems very cheap, but it's designed to inflate this ball with not everything in the house. The pump runs and does its job. The printed little picture is also well printed, it doesn't rub off like regular plastic balls sold in toy stores. This ball is far superior and a very good price for what you get. As always, please read the warning labels and follow the printed warnings to avoid injury. Have fun with it because I'm sure we do this with kids. I could buy a similar one in store but the point is quality is my choice and sometimes reading reviews is just the best way to shop smart. The ball is considered safe and very reliable when used as intended.
