Our small 3 gallon tank with filter used to be fine. It would have been a bit cloudy if we had passed the two week mark with no change, but other than that everything is fine. Then we ran out of the more expensive PetSmart rinse drops and I ordered these drops because the reviews looked good. Since the week we started this we have had kelp/dulse/mud in our tank (only 1 fish). It grows on everything including the walls of the tank and the rocks at the bottom. Instead of partially replacing it, I now have to lift this thing up and empty the entire tank every time we change it, and carefully clean all the items inside. Tank and stones separate. Then I wipe the inside from top to bottom. And then it looks great. About 5 days. Then everything starts all over again. It has been 1 week 3 days since the last tank change and at the moment it is difficult to look inside the tank due to the amount already returned. We make exactly the number of drops recommended. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but the tank hasn't stayed clean since we got this and honestly we can't keep up with that.
