Review on 🔧 Tenacious Patches by Gear Aid - Optimal Results for Repairing Gear by George Miller

My son tore the sleeve of his light blue Columbia winter jacket. I read many reviews on many products before deciding on this Tenacious Flexible Patch. I agree that the backing is very difficult to remove, so it's almost impossible not to leave fingerprints. In addition, it is not visible on the product. I was hoping it would be like magic tape that disappears from the box. Not even close. While I would recommend it for floats, tents, and other items, I wouldn't recommend it for portable items if the final presentation is important to you. I've removed it. I sealed the cut with super-industrial textile glue and possibly glued another strip on top. But my solution to making the jacket presentable is to order a ripstop fabric, sew on a fake patch and pin it on so it looks like it's part of the jacket. I will do this on both sides for symmetry as I think it will look more intentional.
