Very good for progressive metal.

Some complicated headphones. Maybe all noise canceling headphones are like that. I've never had a pair. I bought them for a reason and they fulfill that reason. These headphones are LOUD. I had Freedom Neos and enjoyed them until I lost them. I lost my second pair. I had 3 pairs of radios (lost 2, didn't like one) and only the anchor marks were noisy. There is an app that can be downloaded to tweak the equalizer and controls, which is pretty cool, but I had trouble figuring out which equalizer helped the most. The ones I use or they make especially for you. There are also preset equalizers from various DJs and producers. Like I said, that made her very difficult. I end up switching between a custom EQ and one of the producers. You sound great. The bass can be quite deep, which is important for the progressive metal I listen to and then occasionally switch to RTJ. Compared to all other headphones I've had, these sound fantastic. I am happy with the purchase. As for the noise cancellation, I haven't tested them, but they seem to do the job. I wish I had REAL noise canceling headphones to test. But I sleep max next to the tower fan all the time. It drowns out around 70% of its sound, which seems impressive (when I did a listening test on the app, it said my room was VERY LOUD). I received a refurbished pair that looked brand new. The box is difficult to open. I am very satisfied for the price. EDIT: I've compared them to some expensive Sony headphones, the one Soundcore Liberty Neo I still have and a pair I didn't like. The sound of this Liberty 2 cannot be compared at all. Liberty2 blew them all out of the water, not only louder but clearer and adding depth to the music. Using it to make phone calls also worked absolutely perfectly.
