Review on Mitutoyo 500-732-20 πŸ“ DIGIMATIC CALIPER with Carbide Tips by Chris Kirby

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Genuine caliper.: Dimensioning

I certainly don't need calipers that good. The problem is I can't find cheap calipers that don't have a head that wobbles. And the adjustment screws are fake / not. So there is no reasonable way to get an accurate measurement by trying to apply no force (causes wobble) and at the same time tightening the set screw (eliminates wobble). If you spend a little more, you get a slightly better exterior. Nothing else inside. So a $40 model is just as bad as a $10 model. And then the battery is empty in three weeks. Mitutoyo. This 500-732-20 is made in Japan. This is a work of art. The outer surfaces of the jaws are made of hard metal. clearance adjustment screws. Still not playing. Clear LCD display. reliable measurements. Hopefully the battery will last 5 years as advertised. A year would be great. No regret.
