Mitutoyo is simply the best

I use vernier calipers in the shop nonstop every day. I prefer the 8" range because many of the parts I measure are larger than 6 but smaller than 8 so I can use a set of measuring tools instead of switching between 6" and 12" calipers . Extremely accurate, very easy to use and there's a reason the Mitutoyo is held in such respect. Yes they are a bit pricey but you get the quality you pay for.

Pros
  • Country of origin: Japan
Cons
  • Wrinkled

Will buy it back after Qc destroys the calipers.

I love your product, had no problems with it until the Qc captain hit me on the ID jaw on a belt grinder. (Haha good joke. No it happened when I wasn't there and he "calibrated" them. Needless to say I left this place after a couple of weeks and lo and behold I'm going into the next Loading, shock, garbage there So wish me luck doing holy hell there and telling them to go #$%^ yourself rest assured I will buy those calipers back great there and this time I will take them as far as possible keep

Genuine caliper.: Dimensioning

I certainly don't need calipers that good. The problem is I can't find cheap calipers that don't have a head that wobbles. And the adjustment screws are fake / not. So there is no reasonable way to get an accurate measurement by trying to apply no force (causes wobble) and at the same time tightening the set screw (eliminates wobble). If you spend a little more, you get a slightly better exterior. Nothing else inside. So a $40 model is just as bad as a $10 model. And then the battery is empty…
