Mine was damaged in transit. The gate box was in another box, and the carrier somehow managed to crush two layers of carefully packaged parts and break the bottom hinge. The customer service from this company is FANTASTIC! I called them and they shipped the part straight away. In addition, it is also a very good goal. The gate latch is nice and easy to open with one hand, which is a plus when your other hand is holding a leash attached to an 80lb boxer and you're only 5ft 3" lol. This gate is very similar to the children's gate in the house, it's a different brand with a very similar latch where there is a latch but also a thumb lever that needs to be pressed but is still very easy to open with one hand. I haven't had it long enough to see how it holds up to the weather, but it closed the 66" opening on my deck step and kept the toddler AND dog on deck. It's a win-win, I love it.
