I started with a more clearly illustrated version of this fan that I read was made by the same company. This was about $25 cheaper but didn't have a remote control or temperature sensor. For my purposes I figured it was worth saving and I don't really need the extras. But after liking how the hotter version worked in my kitchen, I decided to install a similar fan in my bedroom. Since this window was larger and I thought the extra features for the bedroom might be worth it, I decided to take advantage of the extra cost. It turns out it was a good decision. This one is even better. While the sharper version pictured calls for loud sound anyway, it's actually quieter. While the remote doesn't work very instinctively, it works very well and is a welcome feature, as is the temperature control sensor. The fan circulates the air very well and brings in fresh and cool air from outside and probably saves a lot of energy as I don't have to turn on the air conditioning as often as usual because there is a lot of cooler autumn air. Of course, using it in summer doesn't exactly bring cool air, but I found that even in late summer when temperatures drop to 60 degrees at night, it's enough. And I speak as a person who warms up easily and even sometimes turns on the air conditioning in the winter as I cannot control the heating in my apartment, it is controlled by the building. In general everything is fine, I am very happy with the purchase.
