This should not be sold as an adult pack but is the perfect size for a child. My 6 year old daughter and I took this on a 2 week trip to Japan and it has worked very well for us in many ways. As we left the hotel for the day, we loaded it up with our tablet and camera, snacks, drinks, hats, tissues, sunscreen, and other essentials. I carried a fanny pack with similar items all the time, and my daughter and I took turns carrying these. She wore it properly with two straps, but I've just slung one strap over my shoulder or carried it by the straps or the handle in my hand. It was a good size for this purpose and we stored our belongings well. However, we found two serious problems. First, the waterproof inner lining quickly began peeling away from the fabric, like thin strips of dead skin clinging to all our belongings. Another problem is that there is some sort of rain cover covering the main zip that gets constantly hit by the zip puller and ties everything up into something terrible. Luckily, I've always been able to unzip or otherwise undo the zipper without damaging anything. Well, at least the backpack didn't tear apart or otherwise break during our trip.
