Well, I've been using cosmetics and brushes for many years and I've never cleaned them. When they get rough I buy new ones. Being a frugal and thrifty person I bought this on a whim and am very happy. I cleaned the decent brushes I had left. It's very simple: Wet the brush, brush around the soap with the brush, brush out the cleaning pad in the lid, rinse and let it dry completely. You won't believe how much is getting off the brushes and soap all the time. Now they are dry, soft and like new. Now I can keep my brushes clean and not have to worry about what I'm putting on my face. Very pleasantly surprised.
