I bought 4 of these backup drives. One drive failed almost immediately. After copying about 4GB of data to the drive, the drive failed with error code 0x800701E3, which is a "fatal device hardware error". Trying different cables did not solve the problem. The other drive was unbearably slow. When copying data, not only was the writing speed extremely slow, the process stopped from time to time and had to be restarted manually. The remaining two drives are working fine so far, although the data transfer rate is still slow. This results in a bounce rate of 50%. After further research, it turned out that these drives use SMR technology, which has a slower data transfer rate and requires idle time to "reorganize". Nowhere in the product description is this information given, otherwise I would not have bought these discs.
