We received this after two other brands didn't fit. We had to start PetSafe because we had friends who were using their devices successfully. They provide more "charge" for this stubborn dog. The best part is that there is an infinite "zone of charge" that extends beyond the wire. So if the dog is willing to endure a few seconds of "load" to get out of the fence, he'll keep clicking. No matter how far the dog goes. This device was very effective for keeping our stubborn dog in the garden. We took this campsite so we took a portable device. This worked very well, except keep reading. The only problem was that sometimes the device accidentally killed our dog. It has really helped him a few times when he has been in the yard. Luckily we were there to remove the collar. That can't be, so we had to send the device back. Too bad, because otherwise it really is the best system. Perhaps a device without a battery will work better.
