Review on Get the Ultimate Gaming Experience with PlayStation Vita 3G/Wi-Fi Bundle by Mike Bucher

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Such a great system without games

Ps Vita and I have a love-hate relationship. I originally purchased this 3G/Wi-Fi kit and within a week I noticed that strange black spots appeared on the screen in certain places when using the system in low light. Thinking something was wrong, I returned it to Revane. Then I found out about this problem and it turned out that this is a common error in OLED screens and everyone has it. I then bought the Vita again and again the same problem but as it is natural I sorted it out as it only affects black. I beat Uncharted with it and that's about it. I have never used 3G as it is pointless and expensive. I didn't use the Vita for a while after that, but I always had it with me and always checked the PSN store for new games coming out. I ended up giving it up and sold it to Vita in disgust. A few months later, the Vita came back with what I wanted - Assassin's Creed Liberation - and at the Black Friday sale the price was too low for me to bite. I played the game for a while but eventually got bored as it had no real connection to the main series. Games have come along since I didn't have a console and I've bought and resold most of them as they didn't live up to the standards that such a great system for its price should have. The Vita is in the same place as the Wii U and that console just launched, such an empty library. Right now I have Persona 4 Golden and Zero Escape and they both appear to be the same game that basically just tells a good story but not exactly what I want from this console at the moment. The game I'm interested in came out recently, but for some reason it can only be purchased from the PSN store, and I only had a 4GB memory card in the box, and I refuse to pay $100 for it to pay for a memory card. Vita needs more time. This is my final opinion.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • So far so good
