Suitable for very fine spices, but not for coarse spices.
Great little shakers for finely ground spices. I was making rough bottoms for the chest so I took a drill and made some small larger holes in one of them. Worked great! Also use it regularly for things like cinnamon sugar and other finely ground ointments.
