I bought this product because I have a large piece of glass that I want to turn into a dry erase board for teaching online. Between the reflection and the shadow cast behind the glass, I decided I needed to "freeze" the glass. I bought this product because it's vinyl so I figured it would work. I was half right. It works if you just stick it on the glass instead of placing it like you "should" (with water) mainly because the flat side is the one that sticks to the water and that's the side , which I have to write (the other side is too porous and difficult to erase). So if you need to freeze a piece of glass to turn it into a dry erase board I recommend that, but just seal the edges with clear tape. PS Even when using the flat side, writing isn't as smooth as with a whiteboard, but it works. Also, don't leave the marker on for too long or it will get dirty.
