Well packaged. All necessary installation parts included. No assembly instructions but went together easily. I liked the first one so well that I ordered a second one. Casters work really well - forward, backward, right or left is all easy. The protective plastic does take about five minutes to remove but it kept the shelves blemish free during shipping. I have pretty heavy items on the top shelves. I have a chamber vac on the top of one of them and an enormous juice press on the other. Surface cleans easily. Highly recommended if you used in the right application. In my case, i wanted to free up kitchen counter space for my relatively large and heavy counter top equipment.
