First of all: If If you do decide to buy this printer - highly recommended BT Dubs - make sure you place it ADHESIVE SIDE UP when you auto level the system, it clearly says on the protective sheet you remove but it seems very counter-intuitive. Again, INSERT THE STICKY SIDE FOR AUTO LEVELING. However, my experience with 3D printers dates back to around August 2016. My very first printer was a third generation 3D Systems Cube printer. It wasn't that great The second printer was Anet A8 It was a leap in quality but took hours to build and my house almost burned down With this (updated) system I have parts for the VORO N CoreXY system printed. Eventually I decided I wanted to try a Delta printer, so I bought a Sintron Kossel Mini. Two and a half years after purchasing the Sintron Delta, it still doesn't work properly, despite various retrofitted parts. Delta machines require a lot of tweaks and tweaks to make them work properly, and a lot of math for those tweaks and tweaks to even be worth anything. Because of this, I was hesitant to buy the FLSUN QQ-S but decided to bite the bullet and give it a try. What I like: The printer came in the original packaging and each component was separated from the other components. The building process was quick and intuitive, and the instructions (I decided to see how they work compared to the stolen Sintron manual) only once frustrated me a bit. Setting up the printer to actually print from this point on was incredibly easy, although I had my doubts about the Wi-Fi implementation (more on that in the "What I don't like" section). The included microSD card contained several different files including manuals, software, firmware and some test files. models for printing. The touchscreen is very responsive and a huge improvement over my other Marlin printers and their touch pens. Loading the filament is very easy, the steps are clearly outlined in the instruction manual. a real power button is new to me (except Cube, my other printers either have just a simple switch or nothing at all) - This is a very quiet system compared to my others, although the always-on fan is for board/power supply control always on, even if it doesn't work. disappointing to use. What I don't like: - One of the corner covers absolutely refuses to accept a screw for attachment to the frame. Not exactly sure why, but no amount of curiosity will fix it. This is a cosmetic product only and does not affect anything other than my personal sensitivity. The three test files they put on the microSD card are VERY large. I would prefer to see a typical XYZ and 3D calibration cube from Benchy as suggested files as they can be printed in a very short time so you can evaluate the printer quicker. - Also for the models: they were sliced. so that the printer is not in a hurry. Whilst this is great for the quality of the prints, as they are large you will be staying there for a while. The QQ-S has Wi-Fi as an advertised feature, but you can't connect natively. access it via Wi-Fi without a special application, which supposedly doesn't even work (I haven't bothered to check and I won't - I'm going the OctoPi route). sag and must be secured against pinching by the belts. It hasn't happened to me yet, but I will take steps to ensure it doesn't happen in the future. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and the printer itself. I'll be saving the packaging material for a few dozen prints in case it decides to fail, but so far after a few days of use it's a nicely designed machine ready to go. about twenty minutes after opening the box. For the slicing software I just used the latest version of Cura from Ultimaker and also tried Simplify 3D. Cura ran fairly quickly with the built-in FLSUN QQ profile, as did Simplify 3D with the profile of the same name. For attached prints I chose a print speed of 120 mm/s and the system had no problems at this speed. , although the filling suffered from extrusion as a result. I read on the FLSUN QQ 3D Printer Owners Group on Facebook that replacing the standard hotend with a real E3D v6 is a fairly simple procedure, so I'm doing it tonight to see what improvements it brings.
