For reference I am using a Powerspec 3D Pro 2 printer with Simplify 3D software. in several different filament options, mainly ABS and PLA. After trying several filament options available at my local micro center with my printer, I got what appeared to be mediocre and somewhat acceptable results. I say "seems" because I really didn't know what the capabilities of this printer were, as well as what the print quality and good results should be. After doing a lot of research and consulting with local experts, I found that I was nowhere near what my printer was capable of. This product was recommended to me and I purchased (at full price, no discounts or promotional items to test) a 2lb spool of this 1.75mm black PLA to test. By god, the results were stunning. My earlier prints, which I can now assume are very low quality thread options, look like discarded congenital defects from a half-baked mad science lab. However, this IC3D footage is a game changer and I cannot put into words how pleased I am with it. Even with a ridiculously damaged print bed (ripped, torn, missing in places, and badly bulged with Kapton tape) I get beautiful prints with no noticeable warping, bumps, or sticking issues. All I had to do was run the defaults with the printer and slicer software and it works amazing. Check out my attached photos of amazing test prints I made with a zero setting and a partially damaged printer. Didn't even have to make fancy hairspray or fiddle with temperature settings. Additionally, with the standard desiccant pack and even a moisture balance test strip inside, the packaging is really nice and shows attention to detail. And that with TWO IC3D STICKERS! TWO!Update: Having contacted IC3D to compliment their product and inquire about other filament options that I was interested in, I have to say I am very impressed with their customer service, overall attitude and company mission am. They seem to eat, sleep, and breathe 3D printing, obviously following their mantra of "making 3D printing available to everyoneโ.
