Put simply, this jug does the job - filters water, makes it taste better and makes my tap water more alkaline. I wish they would come out with a 3.5 liter model because I can pretty easily gobble a couple of these in a day, just in the morning and after work, but it's as good a jug as I've used (Pure , Britta etc.). For those interested in the many reviews about how the top can't stay still - yes it is. But that doesn't change my five star rating for this mug, because you know what? Every jug I've ever used has had the exact same "problem" and I don't buy water jugs because of the sturdiness of the lid (as I think most of you do). This is also easily detached with a small piece of tape or two on each side, which doesn't affect anything as it has an access hole at the top for filling and you don't have to remove the top until you need to change the filter. And best of all, it's a reasonable price at $35 while their filters are some of the cheapest compared to other brands ($4 to $30, ie $7.50 each) . Highly recommended.
