I recently got a Bearcat BC75XLT scanner and after reading various reviews here and on rail fan sites I decided to add this one. Here in my apartment I immediately received more signals than with the original antenna during a superficial search. Although I haven't picked up any new stations at the stations I'm monitoring, I think the signal is much clearer than before replacing the standard antenna. The BNC connector made it easier to connect when replacing the original. My only issue is that the antenna is so long that it can unbalance the radio if I try to place it on a table or in a car. I know it's a tradeoff, better signals than an unbalanced feel, but it's manageable. Overall, I'm glad I made this purchase.
