Product notes first. These baseplates are strong, well made and compatible with other brands as stated by the manufacturer. The adhesive on the back is a 3M product. If you use them as a permanent base on a table or other surface, be very careful. The glue is very good. Once attached to the surface, trying to remove and reinstall it is not interesting. However, I have a problem with storage at home. My son and I enjoy collecting Lego and Lego compatible products. It's quite difficult to find a place for all of this. Especially when you factor in our other hobbies and the materials needed for them. With that in mind, I bought a set of four clear acrylic shelves, cut the baseplates to fit the fins, and created a place for my son to place his minifigures and small brick toys. It worked well, my son loves them and I plan to do more tinkering with the remaining base plates. My overall opinion is that this is a great purchase.
