I purchased this top to pair up with the bottoms I purchased last year mainly to use on the golf course during the late fall and early winter when temperatures are between 40-50 degrees or so. I wanted something that would fit comfortably under the cargo pants I like to wear on the course. I was not really sure on the sizing but the XL seemed to be about right and I am 6 ft about 200 lbs and normally wear XL t-shirts. Based on the fit of the pants I figured it would be a snug yet comfortable fit which is what I wanted.I have long arms so normally tops like this tend to be a bit short, but this one goes down to my wrists and does not slide up even after swinging a club.which is perfect. Like the pants it fits like a surgical glove or a pair of pantyhose - similar to the old thermal long johns I used to wear back in the day. It did take a little getting used to being so snug, but after just a little while I forget I even had it on. The fleece lining is very soft and comfortable and breaths well so you do not sweat easily. Depending on the temperature and wind I wear anything from just a golf shirt or sweatshirt over it and then a light jacket over that. It keeps me warm and I can still swing a club without any binding. I usually bring along a vest too just in case.It does the job when the outside air temp is as low as 40-45 degrees which is exactly what I wanted but it's also pretty comfortable if it happens to warm up into the 50s. I just take off the jacket or vest and I am good to go. So if you are a cool weather golfer like me looking for something to wear when the temp is from 40-55 degrees or so, these will work well. If you can handle the cold better than me, you could take it down a little further I suspect. They are well made and should last a good long time - I can definitely, recommend the tops and bottoms both.As a side note I have worn the top and bottom together a few times while taking my dog for a walk. The first day it was about 30 degrees or so and I was very comfortable. The second time it was down to 20 degrees and surprisingly I was pretty comfortable at that temperature as well. Keep in mind I also had on a warm jacket and vest plus I was walking the entire time and not standing still like you might do when ice fishing or watching some sort of outdoor sporting event, but if you are moving, these can provide adequate protection even down to 20 degrees or lower depending on how many layers you have. The big plus though is they are very comfortable and snug and at the same time breathable so they make a great base layer.
