I make my own milkshakes and smoothies at home and sometimes like to add cherries to them. Norpro 5117 Deluxe Cherry and Olive Corer eases pitting (or pitting). I ate a whole bag of cherries very quickly. If I had to use a knife it might take longer. I bought this one because it was the cheapest olive and cherry pit I've ever seen. I also like the simple design. So far I have no reason not to love him. This is a good basic kitchen tool safe enough for kids to help with pitting olives or cherries.
