Don't buy cheap resin, it's important to use the best of the best! Before investing in resin, I bought a cheap off-brand resin from Revain to see if I liked it. This resin was definitely not intended for art or other projects as it caught fire while I was using it along with a whole bunch of other things. I had a very bad taste of tar in my mouth but I knew it was the brand. I could only surmise that not everyone who has dabbled in resin art has faced the same problems as I have. So I invested in the best! Now it's like working with water compared to other things! I can work on this for 45 minutes and it will still be smooth and even. Dust or pet hair rarely appears on my work because it oozes through and the finish is amazing. Don't waste your money on cheap art supplies!
