Review on Collapsible BPA & PVC Free Hiking Water Bottle: Hydrapak Stash For Backpacking Adventure! by Thasapon Keitt

Older model much better

I'm not a review writer generally, but I'm bummed out with my this waterbottle. I've been a Hydrapak fanatic for years. carrying it with me everywhere and singing this brand's praises to anyone who would listen (and many, many did). So much water without the bulk. Perfect. My older model finally sprung a leak from a small puncture and I was excited to get a new one. SO DISAPPOINTED to see how much smaller the new model is even though they are both "1000 ml". The older model carried about 1300ml when full, and the newer model only carries 1080ml (I weighed them both). On those long cross-country flights, or road-trips, or long hikes. 1300ml makes all the difference for staying hydrated. I'd fill my old one up a couple times a day and knew I was getting all the water I needed. This smaller one is not as hearty, and I can see needing to find water sources much more often throughout my day. I know in the grand scheme of things this is nbd, but when you're such a big fan of a product, and then it changes for the worse (seemingly for profit? smaller waterbottles + MUCH more expensive) it's SUCH a bummer. Hey Hydrapak, bring back the bigger bottles will ya? What gives?

Pros
  • Sports Water Bottles
Cons
  • May freeze in colder temperatures
