Great for catching cabbage worm butterflies.

Great for catching cabbage worm butterflies which is what I got it for. My review will be based on this as a pest catcher. I have caught probably 10 in the last couple of days since this showed up. It worked best for me by waiting for them to land before swinging it over them. I am happy with this net and expect it to last at least one full season after using it for a few days. The frame is slightly wiggly though and wants to bend back a bit after a few swings at butterflies. The net wants to grab on some plants but so far has not ripped or had any sign of damage such as a snag. The net is good for what it is and works well but there is a learning curve for it.It works well but don’t be rough with it. The net can snag and the frame can bend if you are too crazy swinging it and slamming it down. It is for catching butterflies and is light as a result. Don’t swing to fast and hard if you don’t want to damage your plants. If at all possible try for a flat place to get the butterflies. The more stems and leaves the more likely it will escape. If you are trying to catch cabbage worms butterflies keep in mind you will also need to collect the caterpillars as well.

Pros
  • The net is an affordable and effective way to observe and collect insects and butterflies
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use by those with limited time or resources for outdoor activities
