I was a little worried about the placement of this unit inside our home. And no less on parquet floors. You can imagine a pipe leaking in the middle of the night and the next morning there is a lake in the dining room. Also, my wife wanted to be able to detach the bowl from the line to take it to the kitchen sink for cleaning. I've spent some time looking for the best way to hook it up to my basement ice machine line. Initially, it was determined that the smaller ID line that came with the bowl would not work. I couldn't find a coupler that would accept less than 1/4" tubing with an ID less than .170. So I had an extra line from my workshop that worked great. In my basement I have my existing refrigerator line running from the inlet pipe, through the water filter and to the refrigerator. After the filter I installed a Brass Craft Compression/Pressure Tee (Model #PCSV62-4P P) by simply cut the line and put the tee in the line to check Valve (Brass Craft 1/4 x 1/4 Compression/Pressure Model #PC64-4P P) I wanted to have this valve in place just in case I later wanted to permanently remove the water bowl. Drilled a 5/16 hole in the floor near the bowl Run the hose through the floor Bought a colder PLCD 13004 and a colder PLCD 2004 to make the connection in front of the bowl Here the .170 ID line is needed Men The larger easy-clea line doesn't work here. Continuing the .170 ID line from sleeve to bowl. Bingo! Everything works fine, absolutely no leaks. Mom is happy, 4 dogs are happy! And they all commented on the fact that we now offer filtered water instead of regular tap water.
