All but the green hoop had rough plastic burrs that I had to sand down to make them smooth or they would get caught on the cross stitch. Not only were they all dirty. They had several black and brown spots and one of them even had a hair. In terms of functionality, they were just mediocre. It took a long time to get the big one onto my fabric because it was slippery and once I got it on as tight as I could the fabric wasn't as tight. However, it was usable as long as you didn't pull too many threads through the hole (e.g. if you make 2 threads in a count of 14 then it should do) and also had to press every now and then. Ring down because it starts to rise and loosen. I could try to save them by wrapping the rings in thread to hold them better, but definitely don't buy them unless you just want to frame something, and even then be prepared to clean them first.
