If you have a back, especially lower back, I recommend this chair. I have a herniated disc, a degenerative disc all over my back, and I'm uncomfortable in almost every chair. This is one of the very few chairs that I can stand on for a long time. My wife also has back problems and is almost as picky as I am. She likes this chair more than my $300 office chair. This chair has enough adjustment options to change the height, seat depth (I have short legs), lumbar position (back height), and back angle. Many cheaper mesh back chairs offer poor support that quickly degrades over time. After a few months of moderate use, this hasn't happened. My wife homeschools my kids and uses it as an office chair. There are no armrests in the chair which is a plus for my wife who has carpal tunnel syndrome (like carpal tunnel syndrome but in the elbows). Armrests are hard to resist but can hurt when typing. The seat is durable and comfortable. In general, I prefer a high-quality mesh seat. I like that my chair is breathable and I find that the mesh fits well. A good mesh seat will stay comfortable for years. It's a thick foam seat. I haven't noticed any deterioration for a few months. I was really surprised at how comfortable the foam seat is. it's certainly more comfortable than the mesh seat on my much more expensive chair. I am 5ft 7" and my wife is 5ft 4". I suspect people under 5'11 will find this chair very comfortable. About 5ft 11in I'm less sure. You can adjust the seat depth, chair height and backrest/wooden height. So I suspect people under 6ft 2 will find the chair comfortable. For the most part, the chair feels solid and well constructed. a taller guy and finds the chair comfortable. For about the first week his chair would not adjust to the correct height. He didn't tell me about the problem until he started working, so I couldn't diagnose the problem. However, I do notice that the pistons on both seem a bit sluggish, which is common with older seats, not newer ones. That worries me the most. If anything gives on this chair, it's the casters or the piston. The rest of the chair is so well built that I find it hard to imagine other parts failing.
