Very large and unattractive. Both them because I wanted it to be toddler friendly. I have an outdoor fireplace and wanted the look of fireglass but didn't want to deal with tiny shards of glass that are usually used and toddlers running around. (no brainer, not a good combination). For safety wise, they are great, very large and rounded. Quality- since putting them in my outdoor fireplace, they have been causing more soot and damage to the pipes. I had them moved further away to let the pipes have more space but still these rocks don't seem to take the flames well. Wish i could return them but oh well. I plan to re-use them around my garden. Not happy with them for what i actually bought them for.
